You may have already realized this, but acknowledging that you have a new lover is helpful. Friends and family may be jealous and try to pull you away from this lover, without realizing it.
Every relationship requires an investment of time, money, and energy if you expect the relationship to thrive. Your relationship with your writing is the same. Guard your time to write jealously. Do not let others pull you away from your writing time. Do not take your writing for granted. Invest the time, energy, and money in your writing avocation. If you need a new laptop, a desk, or other writing tools, be sure to make the investment, so that your writing may be easier, faster, and better.
